Evidence and referral guidance

We acknowledge every referral in under 5 minutes and offer most appointments the same day with a licensed Grata Health provider when we're the right level of care. If we're not, we warm-connect the patient to a trusted partner instead of leaving them at a dead end.
Nothing. There are no fees, contracts, or revenue-share arrangements. Grata Health bills the patient's insurance directly and handles benefit verification before the first visit, so your team has no billing burden.
Yes. Grata Health accepts some Medicaid plans in every state we serve — including Ohio Medicaid plans — along with many commercial plans. Participation varies by exact plan, so coverage is verified before the first appointment at no cost.
With patient consent, we send monthly progress notes covering engagement, attendance, care-plan updates, and any clinical flags — via secure messaging, fax, or your preferred method. You always know how your referrals are doing without having to chase records.
Grata's care teams include licensed medical and behavioral health clinicians. Our prescribing providers are physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants credentialed to prescribe buprenorphine and naltrexone in the states they serve. Therapy availability varies by state and plan and is confirmed during intake.
No. The DATA-2000 waiver requirement was eliminated in 2023, but even before that, referring providers never needed any special certification to send a patient to Grata Health. Just submit the referral and our team takes it from there.
